Alexander the crazy frog resigns

Wendy Alexander an incredible likeness to crazy frog
Labour will begin to choose a successor to Wendy Alexander as Scottish Labour leader this week after her resignation following a one-day ban from the Scottish Parliament for breaking donation rules.

Wendy Alexander has had a rough ride from day one as Scottish Labour leader since the electoral success of the SNP has given the nationalists a taste of the corridors of power and ability to push for some social democratic reforms and be the more acceptable face of obscene capitalism in Scotland. The recent donations scandal cannot of helped her attempted moves to portray the SNP as less than upfront or even somewhat dishonest. Her likeness or resemblance to crazy frog is uncanny yet quite stark. The Scottish Labourite that led the big business party in this country Scotland, tried to represent herself and incredibly her party Labour as left in the Scottish parliament even seeing herself as a would-be socialist (aye pull the other one.) Little doubt the confusion between her position regarding a "bring it on" referendum for Scottish independence and less enthusiasm from her colleague in Westminster never helped her standing in the long term as Scottish Labour leader.

Life can not be easy for any high profile Labour politician, the record of Labour in London has recently taken a beating where class differences between rich and poor are horrendous. And now a by-election will be called in Glasgow East that is essentially not good news for New Labour, also in the UK as a whole they are facing a meltdown, and it will be interesting to see what Eck Salmond and his party of big business make of this latest development.

Well then any of the likely individuals as a potential replacement to Alexander are too dull to mention as this blog is not about picking over the bones after the internal trouble and difficulties of Labour but rather a socialist blog, that recognises whoever leads as the leaders of the parties in Holyrood means little will change in the foreseeable future for ordinary working class Scots.
